Avoid Chunks By Watching Your Head

Bob says he likes the Surge Swing because it'€™s easy on his back. But he has a real problem chunking his driver and fairway woods into the ground.

Gouging out pieces of the fairway could start to replace your old back pain with pains in the wrists, shoulders and neck. Remember, we just like to sweep the grass in the Surge Swing. Fortunately, Bob, there are cures for what ails you with your woods.

The first thing to look at is ball position. If it'€™s too far back in your stance you'€™ll swing the club into the ground just to get at the ball.

The next problem could be alignment. If you'€™re aimed right of the target, as your body clears you'€™ll be pulled off balance trying to get to the ball on your aiming line and you'€™ll dig up some turf.

Or, your clubs may be too long and you'€™re turning too much to compensate. You'€™ll lower your right side and really hit the ground.

In this video, I show you what'€™s happening to make you chunk and how to correct those problems with my shadow test.

The Surge!
