How To Play Side Hill Lies

Side Hill Lies And How To Play Them: Side hill lies come in two varieties.  Right to left (with the ball above or higher than your feet), and left to right ( with the ball below or lower than your feet).  Each lie causes a different ball flight and needs some different setup adjustment to successfully hit a good shot. Ball Flight:  The key here is to remember which lie causes which flight direction.  There are two simple ways to remember without having to memorize the riddle, and surely not get them mixed up when playing and hit the dreaded and likely deadly double cross — the ball going exactly in the opposite direction as planned. Ball above feet: ball flies right to left.  Ball below feet: ball flies left to right.  I guess you just figured it out The ball curves the same as the last direction mentioned.  But in the event that that still may be confusing, I have a sure, can’t miss, never make a mistake direction determiner: your compass to the ball flight predictor. Golf Lesson To Tee Or Not To Tee On A Par Three

To Tee Or Not To Tee, That Is The Question… Welcome to another Golfing Lesson from Don “The Swing Surgeon” Trahan and the Peak Performance Golf Swing Team. Today I tackle the question of: “To tee or not to tee on a par three?” Now that is the question… Golfers from PGA Tour Players to high handicappers play par threes both ways: Some like the ball up, some prefer it down on the deck. Some tee it up sometimes, and sometimes not. Is there any rule or rationale for whether you tee it up or not? Let’s start with examining if there is a rule out there for using a tee or not. I am about 100 % certain that one of the greatest players ever, Ben Hogan, had a strong opinion on this tee it up issue. I am sure he is quoted as saying something to the effect, “I play for money, so I tee it up on par threes.” That is certainly one powerful and positive affirmation for using the tee. I agree wholeheartedly with Mr. Hogan’s par3 tee strategy and always tee it up. Why? Because any time you ...

Results From Mercedes Championship

We would like to congratulate DJ Trahan on a strong finish at the Mercedes Benz Championship this last weekend.

DJ finished in a 4 way tie for 6th. I am sure not exactly the result DJ was looking for after he shot an amazing 66 (7 under) in round 2.

DJ finished 15 under 9 strokes behind the winner Geoff Ogilvy who finished with an amazing 24 under par for the tournament.

During the tournament Frank Nabalo from the Golf Channel said “DJ has the simplest swing on tour.” This quote is a direct reflection of DJ implementing the Peak Performance Golf Swing strategies.

A big congrats to DJ on such a strong finish and we will keep you posted on upcoming tournaments and the results.
