Mike Bartholomew, a Class A member of the PGA for 18 years, has lived in the Charlotte, NC area since 1999. He began his golf professional career on Hilton Head Island, SC where he eventually became the Head Golf Professional at Oyster Reef Golf Club. During his successful 12 year tenure as the club's Head Professional & Director of Instruction, Mikewas also active with the local PGA chapter serving asSecretary/Treasurer and President. From 2000-2006, Mike developed the foundation for the successful early years of the Springfield Golf Course in Fort Mill, SC as its PGA Head Golf Professional & Director of Instruction. In 2007, Mike left the golf industry to work for the U. S. Department of Commerce as a project manager & team supervisor.
Since his early days as a young teaching pro, when he began teaching younger kids, Mike has had a passion for the game and the seemingly endless ways you can pursue improving elements, not only in technique, but in playing the game. His most unusual achievement in golf was that he once played 271 holes in a day raising funds for junior golfers attending golf camp...so he obviously loves playing a round or two!
