Our Director of Club Fitting, Doc Griffin, just made me a new driver. I had a thought that since I hit my 3 wood so well, perhaps my driver should be the same length. Being as good as he is, Doc said that it was no problem to construct, and so far I've been very happy with it.
Today, some people believe that bigger is better in terms of the head of their driver. This is not always the case, because I believe with a smaller driver head, it is easier to hit the ball in the sweet spot of the club.
So, if you have been having some problems with your driver lately, try shortening it up a bit and see what kind of difference it can make for you.
