Winter Putting in the Garage

For those of you in the colder climes your golf season is about to wrap up. I can tell by the number of blogs we getting about winter. One asked if, in the winter, living room putting practice helps.

It most definitely does. But don't use the living room rug if it has a deep pile. You need a surface similar to a putting green. However, even if the surface on the living room carpet is adequate, for the sake of a happy household, I'd move to the garage or basement and get a putting mat. If you choose the garage, it's best to move your car outside, not your significant other's. There are dozens of different types of mats on the market and several are reasonably priced.

This is also a good time to have someone help you with your alignment. Have them stand behind you and be your mirror. Also, line that putter face up. Now is the time to really check that your body and putter are aligned correctly.

Now, get out in the garage and go to it.

The Surge!
