At 8 years old, I knew where the golf ball was going

PGA Tour pro, DJ Trahan has had one teacher and one golf swing all his life. His dad, PGA Master Professional Don Trahan, never pushed, never insisted. He just taught. In this video, DJ talks about the importance of learning the Peak Performance Golf Swing at an early age so he could focus on the game itself.

At Harbour Town Golf Links, then his '€œhome course,'€ it was not unusual to see ten-year-old DJ playing with assistant pros and, on occasion, Head Professional John Farrell. John once said that DJ had his heart and mind set on playing golf for a living, even back then. '€œHe didn'€™t talk about it that much. But if asked, he wouldn'€™t back away,'€ John remembered.

DJ says, '€œIt was wonderful for me to have my dad, from the very beginning, because I was always learning the proper fundamentals and proper techniques.'€ And yes, at eight years old, he knew where the ball was going to go. I saw it happen often enough.
