Cold Weather Golf

Yes, for those of us in the Northern Hemisphere, it's going to start to get cold. So I apologize to our Australian, New Zealand and South American members and visitors (and anybody else I missed) for making this a “winter” tip.

You can play golf in the winter — as long as there's not much snow. The most critical factor in playing winter golf are your hands. Keep them warm. Of course, keep your entire body warm (wear a hat), but pay critical attention to your hands. There are all kinds of gadgets out there now that you can put in your jacket pockets to keep those hands warm and relaxed.

But don't overdo it! A quick 9 holes is the perfect venue for cold weather golf.

The Surge!
