Importance of the T-Finish

Before we talk about the finish, I want congratulate J. Lynn Griffin, Director of PPGS Club Fitting, for being named the 2010 AGCP (Association of Golf Clubfitting Profrssionals) Member of the Year. That is simply just fantastic! Way to go, Lynn.

As you probably know by now, I put a good deal of emphasis on the T-Finish. People say, “I mean, that's after you hit the ball, Surge.” Actually it is a critical part of hitting the ball for distance, direction and balance.

The clubhead should be accelerating through the ball at impact. That acceleration and weight shift will cause your arms to go up and form that neat triangle when you make the T-Finish. If that doesn't happen, there's a good chance you were actually decelerating at impact! Not good. Take a look and a listen about why the T-Finish is so important.

The Surge!

P.S. IC members: get ready for the first PPGS Tournament in December. Announcement to come shortly!
