I've got the clipboard out today to answer a question posted recently on the blog. It had to do with hitting down on the ball as opposed to swinging up to the T-finish.
One of the biggest misconceptions about golf is that you have to hit down on the ball. What I like to think of is a forward upswing. When you start getting the idea of hitting down in your head, it will lead to you taking way bigger divots than is necessary. With the Surge Swing, we just want to nip the ground, ripping the grass out. We don't want to be taking big chunks out of the turf because it is counterproductive.
Here's a good way to remember what type of divots we want to have with the Surge Swing. Think bacon strips, not pork chops!
Keep it vertical,
The Surge!
