The Surge and Matt: Canceling Movement

Wed, 08/25/2010 - 18:00 -- Don Trahan

Secession Golf Club, Beaufort, SC '€“ Between takes during a regular video shoot, we just left the camera rolling as The Surge gave Matt Steffe, of C-prime an impromptu lesson. You'€™ll hear some other voices and sounds because neither Matt nor Don were miked. But I think you'€™re going to see (and hear) some good demonstrations of the '€œrock and string'€ Surgism.

You'€™ll also see how The Surge quieted Matt'€™s body down '€“ and the reasons why the Peak Performance Golf Swing demands a '€œquiet'€ body. Remember the Surgism, '€œGolf is a game of angles and the less angles the better.'€ In his original swing, Matt was all angles. Take note of how The Surge makes Matt keep his head from moving. A critical element to the PPGS.

This is a rough cut, an almost '€œby the way'€ video clip, but we didn'€™t want you to miss it.

Paul

P.S. I made an error yesterday. “You know who” told me that he is 5'€™ 9'€, not 5'€™ 8'€. As of this writing, Matt is still 6'€™ 6'€.
