You just never know. When the Surge published his first book, Golf, Plain and Simple, he didn't know what to expect. 'In the mitt and up the tree' first appeared there. In fact the very fundamentals of the Peak Performance Golf Swing were captured in the book. (Before you go rushing out to find the book, it's now out of print. Our Fundamentals manual incorporates and updates all the concepts.)
Enter Dr. Ned Armstrong, orthopedic surgeon, sports medicine specialist, scratch golfer and, though neither realized it, practically neighbors in the outskirts of Atlanta. Dr. Ned loved the book, loved the concept that the swing is 'body-based.' It wasn't long before the two met and Ned became one of Don's special mentors.
This video, The Surge explains how he and Dr. Armstrong got together. It was all about the body, strain and pain.
