Many golfers have this ritual they go through just before the takeaway. They move their hips, even their feet, do an elaborate waggle and all sorts of other movements. I guess they're trying to loosen up or something. They've even been taught to do that. The looser the better.
Well, that just doesn't make sense to me. Moments before the takeaway, we want to be focused, we want to see and feel the shout we're about to make. We want our mind to center on what is about to happen, not be distracted by useless movement.
