We got a really interesting question from Cajun. 'If you tee up the ball for the irons, should you change the position of the ball in the stance?' It's a great question and it deserves a great answer: no.
I'm guessing Cajun is probably asking about a par 3. My suggestion on par 3's is: one, always use a tee and two, basically no matter what club you're using, get the tee as close to the ground as possible. But always have that little cup in the tee holding the ball.
Most amateurs tee it too high on a par 3 and usually end up hitting the top of the club, not the sweet spot. You end up with a ball going high and short.
If you're trying to hit a knock down shot due to wind, tee it up the same but take a club one or two lower and control the height of the ball by adjusting your follow through rather than trying to regulate the shot with tee height. I don't change my ball position and don't change my tee height. I control the shot with correct club choice and, when necessary, follow through.
