We got a question on the blog recently from 'Neal of Oz.' He said he had a two problems trying to go vertical: he was lifting his head, therefore moving his spine angle, and his club was going into the Sacred Burial Ground.
My guess is that Neal has too much of a good thing ' he's vertical all right, but he's lifting too high. That's what's causing his head to move up. Going too high can also cause you to lose balance, drop your club flat, and a series of other errors.
Maybe, Neal, you're just trying too hard and you've got too much of a good thing. We're not trying to reach the top of the tree. Remember, the Surge Swing is a limited turn ¾ backswing. While 'up' is good, too much 'up' and you'll lose control.
The Surge!
