I walked 18 holes with DJ as he played his practice round Tuesday. The course is in magnificent shape and there's nothing better than coming home!
DJ talks about how he has recently rededicated himself to working hard at his golf game after a slow start to the 2011 season. We talked about a few other things on the practice green following the round as well.
The Heritage means a lot to not only DJ, but all the guys on tour who love playing this event. The first Heritage tournament was won by Arnold Palmer in 1969, and names like Jack Nicklaus, Tom Watson, Johnny Miller, Nick Faldo, and Greg Norman have all been winners here.
With such a rich tradition, it would be a shame to see this tournament not find a corporate sponsor for the upcoming years. So, hopefully we'll be back next year to enjoy the beauty that is Harbour Town Golf Links.
The Surge!

I am still having the problem. I am using Firefox not IE.
I have restarted my system. That did not help.
Any suggestions?

How, I have finished reading your report.
Great detail as usual. Is this the course you usually talk about in your reports? What do you normally shoot on that course?
I want to be able to get those putts down there where you are. I know a lot of that is from you chipping. I am still working on both.

Depending on which shaft you break, you would need to call Doc or 911.
Be careful out there.

Coach, we all have those days. The weather effects the game of pros. So, it should effect us even more.
Nothing to hang you head about. Keep on keeping on.
Until next time. Who knows what that will bring?

I am noticing that several of the posters pictures are not showing up.
Is this just on my end?

Hahahaha even my wife roared
Hahahaha even my wife roared with laughter at that one [just moved the free standing floor fan, out of range heh heh heh], a vivid imagination is a great asset too.
Will wait to get to NZ to get a folding chair, or manufacture something myself.
On the subject of your meeting at the range it was tears in the eye and lump in the throat time for me too.A time to reflect on my fellow medics no longer here to enjoy the game we all love.
I was privileged to participate in the ANZAC Dawn Service on the 25th of April 1991 on Iron Bottom Sound, on Guadalcanal [goose bumps as I write]. It was one of the most moving experiences in my very eventful life. Ten Kiwi soldiers and around twenty Aussies and a large number of Solomon Islanders took part. The hymn singing by the Solomon Islanders, would have made the top ten in any country. That together with the sheer beauty and tranquility of the scenery on Iron Bottom Sound, breathtaking.
I walked 'Bloody Ridge' and Red Beach, touched the rusting hulk of the Japanese troop transport Bonegi 2, which had been beached after being badly damaged. Saw a Chance Vought Corsair in a local scrap yard. Played a round of Golf on Kukum Golf Course[with sand greens],during the conflict it was a US Marine Fighter base.
The present world is a selfish and self centred place.Servicemen and women in Britain, are almost pariahs, to many of the population, with such banal restrictions, as not being allowed to wear their medals in public, in case it upsets certain factions of the population, who on Rememberance Day, burned poppies and reviled the troops etc. Result a GBP50 pound fine.
This is an affront to all those who suffered indescribable injuries and hardships in the nations service. Many of us ask, was my 22years service there, a waste of time?
Poignantly for me the 15 ANZAC Days I served with the Kiwis, is only three days away. My thoughts, prayers and feelings will be with the many Kiwi and Aussie comrades whose paths I crossed, and God willing 2012 I will attend ANZAC Day in New Zealand medals and all. Woe betide any limp, lefty, liberal or pond life 'activists' [read extremists], who want to besmirch the service and sacrifice of those who gave so much for so little thanks! I have spoken.
On the lighter side, looking forward to the highlights coverage of the Heritage and DonJ after the comments made by Amos and others prior to the storm delay.
In Chinese, you, Amos, Steve Smith, Kevin, Robert Meade, Roy Reed and many like JackOz are all "Hou Lian Pi" like me [according to Mrs Dragonhead, who incidently gave me the name Dragonhead], pronounce Hoe [as in gardening] Lee- ehn [the first part of that one cracked me up Lee hahahaha] ehn as in the letter 'N' and Pee, as in pointing percy at the porcelain,ie, Hoe Lee-ehn Pee [thick skinned] I am sure there are other ways of describing how they sound hahahaha.
Will stand on the sundrenched enclosed verandah shortly and warm up.....fingers crossed.
Give the young man with the newly fitted prosthesis my Best Wishes and thank him from the bottom of my heart. It reminded me that years ago working with a Surgeon, a feisty Welshman. He experimented with ways to improve the lot of those with severed limb injuries. This in the days when we trialled all sorts of things to speed up and give folk like your young marine, the best they could be. That surgeon, was a man called Hugh Thomas, the man who wrote the book: "The Murder of Rudolf Hess".
Well off to have a warm up. Keep it long, straight and vertical in Oklahoma ; - )
PS. For those playing in flooded conditions, what about those "Nearly a Golf ball" type balls, thay float don't they ? hahaha
If you have good and usable
If you have good and usable heads, fitter can just put new, proper shafts on if he deems them to be ok, ...unless you want the newest heads out there. I understand some pro's have good heads, just switch out shafts for last 7 years. I just recently got fit, fitter checked my Ping's and said the shafts were all over the place, but recommended I keep the heads and only reshaft (somewhat cheaper than going to the mint). Now spined, FLOed and whatever they do, he said I have the right equipment for me to go and now up to me to practice and show it.
