14 Drills To a Better Swing

Fri, 05/02/2014 - 12:00 -- Don Trahan

A lot of golfers swear by certain drills, especially at the start of a new season. Drills can help you get prepared by remembering your fundamentals and basics of what you're tyring to accomplish with your swing. But, there are many drills out there that do nothing but hurt your game!

I often get asked about what drills will help the most. Questions come in to the website or when I'm teaching face to face. The thing you have to remember is that a drill is only as good as the results you see afterwards. The goal of a good drill should be to help you get the feeling of the swing you want to make. Then it's up to you to swing the feel.

I've put together a list of 14 swing drills that will not only help your game, but also your understanding of all the aspects of the Peak Performance Golf Swing. I call them my 14 Drills To A Better Swing, and they're available in Surge's Shop above.

Some drills include "Butt on a Wall" and "Serving Champagne." You'll see what these names mean and why they work when you watch the video!

Click here to get these 14 Drills on your computer right now! You'll be glad you did.

Keep it vertical and remember to swing the feel!

Just reviewed 14 drills. Good stuff and every one should own and use them. The ones for finding the top of your back swing and ;place in space' are among my favorites along with the 'butt on the wall'. Hope every one is getting out now that the weather in the northeast is mostly permitting.
Golf on!

Yep, I have a pinboard mounted on the wall above my computer which lists the 14 drills numerically and also the titles, so when I'm having a bad bout on the course ( which is most of the time ) I use this list as a check point for flaws that may have crept into my game and instantly review the video. I've also put these on a USB for my 7 YO grandaughter , who likes watching her grandad practise so she can copy them to, LOL.

Neil, I see you have made it back home. I hope your trip was worth it. I enjoyed our little golf outing while you were in Augusta. Now you can get back to normal and start playing some golf.
