Does Your Ball Jump Around in Your Swing?

Wed, 10/13/2010 - 09:00 -- Don Trahan

I was almost faked out. One of our students at the last golf school had a good setup, was in the mitt and up the tree in his backswing and forward swing, but every once in a while, he would dip down just before impact which cause a variety of shots — none of them good.

It wasn't until the second day, when we got him tightened up, I noticed his glasses. They didn't look like bifocals or trifocals, so I asked him what kind they were. They were Varilux progressive lenses. Well, there was the answer to his “bouncing ball” problem.

In this video, I'll tell you what not to wear — in therms of glasses — when you play golf.
